The slightly, cooler finer weather and fresh bloom of nature once again makes the thought of afternoon picnics by the Swan River and weekend lunch at local wineries an inviting prospect. 1. Free chocolate tastings at the Margaret River Chocolate Company

Spring-time is the perfect time to visit Margaret River’s famous Margaret River Chocolate Company has a location in West Swan.
The Swan Valley branch has a tasting centre which offers free entry and free tastings to visitors, in addition to viewing windows into the factory.
The Chocolate Cafe at the Swan Valley is one of the most popular destinations in the Swan Valley and is a great spot to visit in spring! Sit out on the sun-deck, overlooking the gardens and vines and enjoy breakfast, lunch and a delicious range of cakes, desserts, chocolate fondues and chocolate treats.
2. Sample the chocolate at Whistler's Chocolate Company & Cafe

If a visit to the Margaret River Chocolate Company doesn’t do enough to cure your chocolate cravings, then we’d suggest paying a visit to Whistler’s Chocolate Company and Cafe in Middle Swan, just a short while away from Guildford. Here you can marvel at the chocolate sculptures on display and try free chocolate samples, before sitting down for coffee in the enclosed garden area.
3. See the bees at The House of Honey

One of our favourite spring locations in the Swan Valley will always be the House of Honey in Herne Hill. This amazing family-owned and operated business is both a haven for local bees, as well as a great place to visit for lunch. The onsite cafe does delicious food, and afterwards you can take a stroll around the garden, head out on a bee safari or stop into the gift store to purchase some homegrown honey. .
4. Visit Elmar’s in the Valley

Elmar’s in the Valley consistently ranks as one of the most popular micro-breweries in the Swan Valley. If you haven’t visited yet, put this at the top of your list for spring. In the warmer months this amazing venue plays host to live music and events, and nothing beats good food and cold, award-winning beer on a fine spring day!
